A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice, with offices throughout the US, focuses on serving upper middle market and large cap private equity firms who have engaged A&M to help improve operating results at their portfolio companies. AI Transformation Practice The AI Transformation team works directly with private equity firms and their portfolio companies to drive value through applied AI. Our engagements span:
- AI disruption diligence
- AI strategy and operating model design
- Margin expansion and cost optimization through automation and analytics
- Process redesign and workflow transformation
- AI-enabled product builds and digital capabilities
- New growth initiatives powered by data and advanced analytics
- End-to-end transformation execution, governance and value tracking

As a Senior Associate in the PE AI Transformation team, you will support the delivery of AI-driven value creation engagements across the private equity lifecycle. You will play a key role in structuring analyses, developing client-ready insights, and building practical prototypes that translate AI opportunities into tangible operational improvements. This role requires strong analytical rigor, comfort working across business and technical stakeholders, and the ability to turn strategic AI concepts into executable workflows and solutions that drive measurable impact.
How you will contribute Forward Deployed Engineering Capability - Translate prioritized business use cases into lightweight prototypes and proof-of-concepts
- Build mock-ups, pilots, and workflow automations to demonstrate feasibility
- Collaborate with client technical teams and vendors to refine and implement solutions
Engagement Support & Structured Problem Solving - Support AI strategy and transformation workstreams across PE-backed portfolio companies
- Conduct structured analyses to identify AI-enabled operational improvements and growth opportunities
- Develop client-ready materials, presentations, and structured recommendations
- Participate in client workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions
Execution Support - Assist with transformation planning and workstream coordination
- Contribute to implementation roadmaps and documentation
- Support embedding AI-enabled processes into ongoing operations
Qualifications Required Experience - 2-4 years of experience in consulting, technology strategy, analytics, or a related field
- Exposure to AI, automation, or data-driven transformation initiatives
- Strong structured problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience developing executive-ready presentations and client deliverables
Technical Capability - Practical understanding of AI technologies and their business applications
- Experience building prototypes or mock solutions using modern AI tools or development environments
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical workflows
Preferred Background - Degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related technical field preferred
- Experience in a consulting firm or high-growth technology environment
- Familiarity with generative AI tools, APIs, or workflow automation platforms

Benefits Summary Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours
Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $100,000 - $170,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
