RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Orlando, FL that is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and modern software engineering practices. This role will focus on designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered applications while leading end-to-end software development initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Generative AI technologies, scalable application development, and cloud-native architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy production-ready software solutions leveraging AI and Machine Learning technologies
* Lead the development of Generative AI applications and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions
* Build and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data processing pipelines
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Architect and implement cloud-native applications following modern software engineering best practices
* Develop and optimize machine learning models and AI workflows
* Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes
* Mentor developers and provide technical leadership on software architecture and engineering standards
* Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience in Generative AI (GenAI), Machine Learning (ML), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
* Advanced proficiency in Python
* Experience building and deploying AI-enabled applications in production environments
* Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and distributed systems
* Experience developing APIs, microservices, and backend applications
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
* Experience with databases, data modeling, and data ingestion pipelines
* Experience implementing and managing CI/CD processes
* Experience working with Docker and containerized environments
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Computer Vision solutions and frameworks
* Experience with TypeScript
* Familiarity with OpenAI/GPT models and AI application development
* Experience with modern frontend technologies and full-stack development
* Exposure to MLOps and AI model deployment best practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
