Round 2 POS is a point-of-sale and fintech software company serving the hospitality industry. Our software powers daily restaurant operations, from point-of-sale workflows to payments, reporting, and operational tools used by real businesses every day.
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help build and maintain reliable, scalable software that powers critical day-to-day operations for our customers. This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to influence architecture, improve engineering practices, and mentor other developers.
What you’ll do
Design, build, test, and maintain scalable, reliable software across our POS platform
Partner with engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into thoughtful technical solutions
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize systems for performance, reliability, and maintainability
Participate in code reviews and help uphold strong engineering standards and best practices
Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical direction
Mentor teammates through collaboration, technical guidance, and constructive feedback
What we’re looking for
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Proven experience building and delivering high-quality production software
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, system design, and engineering best practices
Experience working with REST APIs
Strong testing discipline and engineering rigor
Proficiency with Linux-based development environments
Proficiency with relational databases and SQL
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work on-site daily in our Cranberry Township, PA office
Preferred experience
Go, Flutter, Dart, Postgres, Docker, or GraphQL
Modern front-end technologies such as SvelteKit, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, or TypeScript
Agile development practices
Restaurant technology, point-of-sale, or payment processing experience
Our tech environment
Our current stack includes Flutter, Dart, Go, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Linux. You do not need to be an expert in every technology on day one. We value strong engineering fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to learn quickly.
Compensation and benefits
Salary: Minimum starting salary: $90,000
