Job Summary
A Contract Research Photographer is a professional who will use their technical skills and personal camera equipment to create the images required for research studies. The photographer will take high-quality images of child and adult research participants testing consumer products. The photographer will maintain all camera equipment, including lights, lenses, and tripods. After the images are captured, the Photographer will upload to the Digital Asset System following required standards. Editing of images may be required and will be completed by the photographer using approved and provided computer and software. This person will also be accountable for the study participant's safety while photographing the participant. This person will work under the general supervision of the Study Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Select, set-up and verify equipment for use in research studies.
Properly light and photograph the subject.
Troubleshoot simple equipment issues.
Edit images as necessary.
Work within the Digital Asset Management system.
Follow direction of Study Manager.
Qualifications
3+ years of professional photography experience.
Ability to quickly adjust to complicated photographic situations.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to use different types of photographic equipment
Understanding of artificial and natural lighting and how it affects different setting, shapes, and skin tones
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
High degree of empathy for study participants.
Understand the Responsible Conduct of Human Subjects Testing.
