Description: Our client is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer - BigID

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable enterprise applications and platforms. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience across identity and authentication technologies, cloud security, automation, data platforms, and modern application architectures. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, application, and security teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Programming, Scripting & Automation

Strong scripting experience using Shell scripting and Python
Object-oriented programming knowledge using Java, Go, or similar languages
Demonstrated ability to create robust automations using shell scripting
Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies

Data & Reporting

Extensive hands-on SQL / PL-SQL experience
Experience working with modern data platforms such as PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Amazon S3
Reporting and data visualization experience using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools

Identity, Authentication & API Security

Strong hands-on experience with Identity & Authentication technologies, including:

OAuth 2.0 / OIDC
SAML
WebAuthn
PKI
LDAP

Strong knowledge of API authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and related standards
Experience working with third-party APIs and integrating secure API services
Experience building and implementing API service architectures

Cybersecurity Tools & Frameworks

Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools such as:

SIEM
IDS/IPS
Firewalls

Experience with DLP and data classification tools, including working knowledge of regular expressions (Regex)
Working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST and ISO

Cloud, Containers & Platforms

Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, monitoring, and logging (e.g., CloudWatch)
Experience with applications running in Docker and Kubernetes/EKS environments
Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
Hands-on experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience designing systems for high availability, scalability, and performance monitoring

CI/CD & DevOps

Proficiency using CI/CD toolsets such as:

JIRA
Bitbucket / Git
Jenkins
Artifactory
Ansible

Experience integrating security practices into CI/CD pipelines
