Role: Oracle Manufacturing Cloud Consultant (Fabless Semiconductor Experience)
Location: San Jose, CA (onsite). Bay Area locals preferred, or candidates willing to relocate to the Bay Area
Contract Role
Our hiring manager has asked us to focus on Bay Area consultants, ideally those with a background at firms like Trinamix, Arganos, Inspirage or Appa Associates. Recent hands-on experience in Fabless Semiconductor, Oracle Manufacturing, SCM and Cloud Fusion is a must, so please screen carefully against the points below before sending anyone over.
About the role:
The consultant will work onsite with the client's IT and business teams to implement, enhance and support Oracle Cloud Manufacturing and SCM, and will also work on integrating Oracle with a third-party product called FabConnect.
Must-have skills:
- 8+ years of Oracle SCM/Manufacturing experience, including at least 2 full-cycle Oracle Cloud Manufacturing implementations
- Hands-on fabless semiconductor experience: outsourced manufacturing model, foundry/OSAT collaboration and lot-based inventory
- Strong knowledge of Outside Processing, Lot and Serial Control, Costing and Supply Chain Orchestration
- Experience with Oracle Manufacturing Cloud modules: Work Definitions, Work Orders, Inventory, Cost Management and Supply Planning
- Understanding of fabless processes such as wafer fab, sort/probe, assembly and final test, lot tracking, genealogy, die/wafer yields and multi-stage BOMs
- Exposure to FabConnect or similar semiconductor B2B/foundry integration platforms
- Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud integrations (OIC, FBDI, REST APIs) and reporting (OTBI/BIP)
- Strong communication skills, comfortable working directly with business and IT teams onsite
Nice to have:
- Oracle Planning Central, Order Management or Product Hub (PIM)
- Background in semiconductor or high-tech companies (FPGA, ASIC, chip design)
- Oracle Cloud SCM/Manufacturing certification
Key responsibilities:
- Lead implementation, configuration and enhancement of Oracle Manufacturing Cloud
- Work with the FabConnect team and vendor on integrations with foundry/OSAT partners (WIP updates, lot status, receipts)
- Gather requirements and turn them into functional designs and solution documents
- Support SIT/UAT, quarterly Oracle updates, data migration and cutover
- Provide production support and root-cause analysis, and train end users
