Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AI / Data Lead to develop and optimize AI solutions that extract structured information from equipment nameplate photographs and transform the extracted data into the client's SAP asset data format.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering or machine learning, hands-on experience building production document or image data extraction systems, and expertise in AI vision technologies, Python, and data extraction accuracy measurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize AI-based solutions for extracting information from equipment nameplate images.

• Implement document and image processing workflows using Azure AI Document Intelligence or similar technologies.

• Apply AI vision models and image-processing techniques to identify and extract relevant equipment information.

• Develop Python-based solutions using libraries such as OpenCV and Pillow.

• Convert extracted information into structured data that aligns with the client's SAP asset data format.

• Measure, evaluate, and improve extraction accuracy and data quality.

• Tune AI models and processing workflows to improve recognition results and handle variations in image quality.

• Validate extracted data and troubleshoot image-processing and data-extraction issues.

• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to align the solution with asset data requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or machine learning.

• 2+ years of experience building production systems that extract data from documents or images.

• Experience with Azure AI Document Intelligence or similar document intelligence technologies.

• Knowledge of AI vision models and image-processing techniques.

• Strong Python programming skills.

• Experience with OpenCV and/or Pillow.

• Experience extracting structured data from documents or images.

• Ability to measure, evaluate, and improve data-extraction accuracy.

• Experience transforming extracted information into structured formats for downstream systems.
