Job Description:
We are looking for a Sr. Business Analyst with at least 7+ years of IT experience. This resource must have previous Higher Education domain experience.
*Prefer candidates with Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certifications.
Top Desired Skills/ Experience:
1. At least 3-5 years of Higher Education work experience is a MUST!
2. Must have five (5) years of experience as a business analyst for information technology (IT) projects.
3. Must have three (3) years of experience on technical/functional business process analysis regarding ERP and/or SIS IT Projects
4. Must have three (3) years of experience developing as-is and to-be business process maps and workflows utilizing Microsoft Excel and Visio on IT projects
5. Must have three (3) years of experience facilitating requirements elicitation in support of IT projects.
6. Must have three (3) years of experience creating test scripts and facilitating user acceptance testing in support of IT projects.
7. Must have three (3) years of experience developing business cases, systems architecture diagrams, and project charters
8. Possess a current certification(s) for Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Service Delivery, the Contractor Technical Business Process Analyst (Sr. BA) shall provide business analysis services to the LRCCD for all aspects of project delivery. This includes but is not limited to documenting and reengineering business processes, eliciting business requirements, developing system design documents, facilitating system testing, and supporting end-user training. The Contractor BA will be expected to work independently, under the general guidance of a Project Manager (PM) and utilize best practices necessary for successful project implementation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The Contractor BA must possess the following skills and abilities in order to perform the essential functions of the position:
Professional certification as either a Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) desired.
Experience with the Higher Education sector.
Experience supporting system implementation projects through the entire lifecycle.
Ability to create business process documentation.
Ability to facilitate collaboration sessions amongst various stakeholder groups and drive outcomes.
Ability to work with technical and non-technical staff, and bridge communications between various stakeholders.
Knowledge and experience with waterfall and agile processes, tools, and methodologies.
Knowledge and experience with the Project Management and Software Development Lifecycles.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to prepare and produce clear and concise documentation (e.g., requirements, business processes, plans etc.)
Ability to evaluate situations from multiple perspectives (customers, stakeholders, vendors, best practices) in order to create comprehensive documentation.
Demonstrate a service-oriented, customer relations-sensitive attitude.
Ability to communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner
Ability to multi-task and manage several work streams concurrently with rapid response times.
Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
