Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Backend Lead to join our Data & Analytics practice. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering scalable enterprise solutions, leading technical teams, and collaborating with stakeholders across business and technology functions.
The candidate should possess strong expertise in Java-based backend development, cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and modern data-driven solutions within Financial Services environments.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a key contributor on multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with managers, architects, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality data and analytics solutions.
Lead and mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance, code reviews, and support for skill development.
Design, develop, and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Support the implementation of enterprise data management solutions including data architecture, governance, quality, security, and integration frameworks.
Contribute to end-to-end project execution including project planning, estimation, technical design, development, deployment, and support.
Build and maintain microservices-based applications leveraging cloud-native technologies.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate modern technologies such as Cloud Platforms, Machine Learning, and Generative AI into enterprise solutions.
Develop and maintain data pipelines, messaging integrations, and distributed systems architectures.
Participate in technical solution reviews, architecture discussions, and best practice implementations.
Create analytics dashboards and visualization solutions to transform complex data into actionable business insights.
Prepare technical documentation, project status reports, and client-ready deliverables.
Present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to business and technology stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8 14 years of hands-on experience in:
Java, J2EE
Spring Framework, Spring Boot
Microservices Architecture
Backend API Development
Project Planning, Estimation, and End-to-End Delivery
Strong expertise in:
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Concepts
Java 8+
RESTful Services
Kafka or other Messaging Technologies
Docker & Kubernetes
CI/CD Pipelines
Build Tools (Maven/Gradle)
Version Control Systems (Git)
RDBMS and NoSQL Databases
Experience with Cloud Platforms:
Microsoft Azure
Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
Good understanding of:
Agile/Scrum Methodologies
AI/ML and Generative AI technologies
Enterprise application architecture and distributed systems
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team collaboration skills.
Practical experience in estimation, pricing, resource planning, and delivery management.
Strong domain understanding in Financial Services industry environments.
Ability to identify business opportunities and provide technology-driven recommendations.

Prior experience leading offshore/onshore teams.
