Front-End UI Developer (Hybrid - Contract-to-Hire) Location: Des Moines, IA (Hybrid; MUST be able to come onsite quarterly or for major meetings)

We are seeking a PURLEY Front-End UI Developer with strong experience in modern JavaScript frameworks-particularly React-to help build secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications in a regulated industry environment. This role focuses on developing new customer-facing and internal platforms that support complex business workflows. You'll work closely with product, UX, engineering, and QA teams to translate detailed designs into intuitive, responsive, accessible interfaces. Ideal candidates are hands-on, self-sufficient developers who thrive in modern front-end ecosystems and enjoy working on new builds rather than legacy systems.

Responsibilities - Develop high-quality UI components using React, React Hooks, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern tooling. - Build and optimize front-end applications using Vite (and/or Webpack). - Implement clean, accessible layouts with Bootstrap, MUI, Tailwind, Sass, and CSS3. - Translate detailed UX designs into production-ready experiences. - Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs. - Participate in code reviews, testing, and collaborative Agile ceremonies. - Contribute to shared design systems and reusable component libraries. - Stay current on emerging front-end trends and suggest improvements to performance and security.

Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of front-end development experience. - Strong proficiency with React, including Hooks (useState, useEffect, useMemo, useCallback, custom hooks). - Solid experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+). - Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility. - Experience with UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, MUI, Tailwind. - Hands-on experience with Vite or similar build tools. - Ability to integrate with REST APIs and work with structured data. - Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. - Self-starter with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to Have: - Experience with Vue.js - Familiarity with secure coding in regulated industries - Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure)
