Summary

Job Title: Senior MERN Stack Engineer

Location: CA, Remote
Duration: Long-Term

Preferred: 10+ years of experience with a backend-heavy focus (70%+), strong TypeScript/Node.js and AWS expertise.

As a Senior MERN Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js). You will be part of a dynamic team working on exciting projects that require expertise in microservices, database management, and continuous integration and delivery.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain backend solutions using Node.js and TypeScript
Implement and optimize the MERN stack components
Design and implement REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
Utilize AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, S3, and more for scalability and efficiency
Optimize database performance and implement database solutions like MongoDB and Redis
Implement CI/CD pipelines and utilize tools like Docker, Terraform, and CloudFormation
Work on front-end development using React.js and TypeScript
Ensure authentication, security, and performance optimization in all software solutions

Requirements:

Required Skills:

10+ years of backend development experience with a focus on Node.js and TypeScript
Strong expertise in the MERN stack components
Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
Proficiency in AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, S3, etc.
Knowledge of database optimization and management using MongoDB and Redis
Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
Proficiency in React.js and TypeScript for front-end development
Understanding of authentication, security, scalability, and performance optimization

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM in AWS
Experience with continuous integration and delivery processes
Strong focus on scalability and efficiency in software solutions
