Sr. Technical Engineer (PowerBI & GenAI)
w2 candidate only - NO C2C

Contract to Hire – very much needing FTE after

Job Description:
Looking for a technical engineer contractor with some project mgmt. skills. Below are the basic requirements for the position.
IT or Engineering degree
GenAI experience
Power BI experience
Basic Python
Technical IT and Network understanding
Capable of writing technical documents and requirements.
Ability to manage Projects and incentives with a WBS.
Must Have Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, Power BI, WBS-work break down structure or project management.
Candidate must have technical writing experience and GenAI general knowledge and experience.
Candidate must have BA in Engineering or Information Technology.
Must Have:
- BA/BS in a relative Engineering or IT field
- Hands on Power BI – ran initiatives to convert or bring in PowerBI. Light scripting experience.
- Technical writing experience in Gen AI
- Python – reading Python, scripting in Python not necessary
- Proven experience collecting technical requirements and breaking those into tasks
Nice to Have:
- Freddie Mac or Sallie Mae experience
- AWS experience
- Project Management experience – but not hiring a PM specifically
HM Notes:
- There is a variety of projects and initiatives and that’s why the must haves are vague
- Can be a engineer looking to move into management
- PMs will only be considered with an IT degree. Not looking for a generalist PM. Must be able to technically scope.
D2D:
- Tableau to PowerBi is the larger project – must understand (won’t be coding in this)
- Bringing in SaaS products to enable AI
- Implement AI capabilities (in house AI tools)
- They have a specific WBS they want to report on – this person isn’t creating reports but is tracking progress and staying on target.
- Collect requirements and break those into tasks
- Working with GOC and other OPS leaders – DevOps communications. Collect requirements from the DevOps side
