Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Production Support - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is focused on providing Level 2 production support for banking applications within a batch-oriented and data-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring batch jobs, troubleshooting failures, managing incidents, and collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve issues. This position requires participation in shift rotations, including weekend and holiday work.
Responsibilities: - Monitor and resolve batch job failures and data load issues within defined SLAs
- Analyze application logs, server logs, and database logs to identify root causes of issues
- Address job failures, manage incidents and problems, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues
- Document resolutions and processes accordingly
Requirements: - Strong experience in Level 2 production application support, preferably in batch-oriented and data-driven environments
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills with Shell scripting, Hive scripts, SQL (Oracle/relational databases), and Informatica workflows
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Autosys or an equivalent
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
- Understanding of database concepts, data pipelines, and ETL processes
- Primary Skill: UNIX/SHELL SCRIPTS
- Secondary Skill: Oracle SQL / PLSQL
- Able to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite
Desired skills: - Familiarity with tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and Cutover
Pay range: $48.85 - $56.85 per hour
