Full Stack Python Engineer - Remote (Bloomfield, CT local candidates preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using Python and React.
• Develop and optimize REST APIs, backend services, and database solutions.
• Create responsive, user-friendly frontend components using React and TypeScript.
• Build and support cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and microservices.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities including LLMs, semantic search, embeddings, and OpenAI-based solutions.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines and support data engineering initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure application reliability.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical discussions, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required Skills

Backend Development: Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask), RESTful API Design & Development, SQLAlchemy ORM, Async Programming (async/await)

Frontend Development: React (Hooks), JavaScript / TypeScript, Redux or Context API, Material-UI (MUI) or similar UI frameworks

Database: PostgreSQL, Advanced SQL, Query Optimization & Database Design

Cloud & DevOps: AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, EKS), Docker, Kubernetes / Amazon EKS, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins)

Architecture: Microservices, Distributed Systems, System Design, API Best Practices

AI & Machine Learning Integration: LangChain, OpenAI API Integration, LLM Orchestration Frameworks, Prompt Engineering, Embeddings, Semantic Search

Data Engineering: AWS Glue, Apache Spark, ETL/ELT Pipelines, Data Profiling & Quality Assessment

Specialized Databases: Neo4j or Graph Databases, Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)

Experience Required

• 8+ years of Full Stack Development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and React in enterprise environments.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Proven expertise with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience integrating AI/ML and LLM-based solutions into production applications.
• Background in metadata management, data platforms, or analytics solutions is highly preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
• AWS Certified Developer Associate
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Microsoft or OpenAI AI-related certifications (preferred)
• Databricks or Data Engineering certifications (nice to have)
