A growing manufacturer of custom industrial equipment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join its production team. This hands-on role is responsible for assembling complex mechanical and electrical systems used in specialized manufacturing equipment shipped to customers worldwide.

Job Details

The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting blueprints, assembling machinery, wiring electrical components, and working in a precision manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building equipment from the ground up and seeing a finished product come together.

Key Responsibilities:

\tRead and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, work orders, and engineering documentation.
\tAssemble mechanical and electrical components into complete machine systems.
\tInstall motors, sensors, fixtures, pneumatic components, power supplies, and other machine hardware.
\tBuild and wire electrical panels according to engineering specifications.
\tVerify component dimensions and quality using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
\tUtilize hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment to complete assembly tasks.
\tPerform light fabrication and machine work as needed to support assembly operations.
\tMaintain accurate production and quality records.
\tWork closely with Engineering, Production, and other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.

Qualifications:

\tHigh School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
\t2+ years of experience in machine assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, machining, or related industrial environments.
\tAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics.
\tWorking knowledge of electrical controls, machine wiring, and mechanical assembly practices.
\tExperience using precision measuring instruments and common shop tools.
\tStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
\tComfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
\tBasic computer skills for production tracking and documentation.
