Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II - Molding for a contract position with a Global Life Sciences Company located in Santa Clara, CA. This is a 12 month contract opportunity. The Manufacturing Technician performs a wide variety of moderately technical Mold Set-Ups, Kitting and Cutting Machine Operations, as well as operating Hydraulic Press Machines and other computerized equipment. This role is responsible for the set-up of molds and operating presses for precision components using specialized automated or non-automated equipment.
Responsibilities: - Prepare materials for molding process
- Layup molding materials on molding tooling based on standard procedure
- Perform tooling set up for press machine
- Operate equipment such as presses and autoclaves
- Inspect final product
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
- Ability to speak, read, understand and write English
- Previous experience with the use of small hand tools
- Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds individually and occasionally greater than 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to frequently stand, bend, kneel, stretch, reach, lift, and sit repetitively
Desired skills: - Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following all personal and environmental safety guidelines
- Works in teams to accomplish overall plant goals regarding safety, efficiency, quality, and customer expectation
- Skills for maintaining detailed records
- Be an excellent teammate
Pay range: up to $24.00 per hour
