AV Crestron Programming Specialist

Location: Chantilly, Virginia (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert in audiovisual systems with a TS/SCI CI Poly to design, develop, and test high-performance AV solutions. This role involves creating custom designs using Crestron technologies, supporting stakeholder meetings to document system requirements, and researching technology options to resolve customer issues. The position requires a candidate who can support the onsite deployment and configuration of AV systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test high-performance AV solutions for government customers.
• Generate custom audiovisual system designs using Crestron technologies.
• Support customer stakeholder meetings to collect, document, or validate system requirements.
• Research, identify, and recommend technology options to solve customer issues.
• Support onsite deployment of AV systems and system configuration phases.
• Coordinate with facilities teams and other onsite sub-contractors and vendors during systems installation.
• Support the development of end-user training materials and operations and maintenance plans.
• Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations.
• Develop expertise in the industry through continuing training, certifications, and review of trade publications.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A subject matter expert level is sought.
• Experience in system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex A/V systems.
• Hands-on experience with network programming.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in modern programming and scripting languages such as C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, and Visual Basic.

Other:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with systems engineering principles and integration best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of related systems design and integration experience.
• Experience with Crestron programming and system environments using SIMPL+ or C#.
• Crestron Gold level programming Certification or higher.
• Experience translating customer requirements into software designs.
• Knowledge of software systems configuration management.
• Experience with object-oriented programming.
• Experience with HTML/web programming for user interface design.
• Experience working with local and remote teams and interfacing directly with all levels of staff and management.
• Experience working as a member of a development team.
