Systems Analyst (Java / J2EE / Spring)

Our team is seeking experienced technology professionals to support key enterprise application initiatives in Tallahassee, FL. This role is ideal for candidates with strong systems analysis and Java enterprise development experience who enjoy working across business and technical teams to design and implement scalable solutions.

Responsibilities
Consult with stakeholders to gather and document business and system requirements
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine design feasibility within cost and time constraints
Collaborate with project managers, developers, database administrators, and network teams to design system solutions
Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications
Design and manage logical and physical database structures
Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate system functionality
Conduct performance and load testing and analyze results to establish performance standards
Monitor systems for issues and troubleshoot defects as needed
Perform structured business process analysis
Conduct technical research and evaluate tools, technologies, and methods
Contribute to project planning, risk identification, issue tracking, and activity planning
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and provide regular status updates
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent experience
5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst supporting enterprise IT projects
Experience with Java 8+ and J2EE technologies (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JPA/Hibernate, XML, Web Services)
Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, JSF, PrimeFaces, Wicket, or Struts
Experience with relational databases including Oracle, MS SQL Server, or MySQL
Experience developing stored procedures, triggers, and views
Experience with JBoss application server
Experience with Git, Subversion, or similar source control tools
Experience with build tools such as Maven or Ant
Experience creating test plans and performing performance testing
Strong business analysis and requirements documentation skills
Experience with MS Project and MS Visio
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience integrating systems using Web Services and related technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with Unix scripting and command-line tools
Experience with JUnit, Log4j, SLF4J
Experience with Spring Framework (Core, AOP, Webflow)
Experience with performance monitoring tools such as JProfiler or VisualVM
Experience working with MS SQL Server
