Position: ACI Engineer

Client is looking for an ACI Engineer. This role is part of WWT Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

What will you be doing?
Position Overview:
As an ACI Engineer, you will support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of secure enterprise network environments. This role focuses heavily on Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure and network security technologies, supporting segmentation, policy enforcement, and secure connectivity within complex environments.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and support Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure environments
- Manage tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, endpoint groups, and contracts
- Design and implement network segmentation strategies within ACI
- Configure, maintain, and manage Cisco Firepower Threat Defense platforms
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, rules, and access controls
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, security, and performance issues across Layer 2 and Layer 3
- Monitor and maintain network and security infrastructure health
- Analyze logs, alerts, and security events to identify potential threats
- Support incident response, investigation, and remediation activities
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts
- Maintain accurate security documentation and network configurations
- Collaborate with internal teams to support operational and security requirements
Qualifications:
- Hands on experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure
- Experience managing Cisco Firepower Threat Defense
- Experience with Cisco Nexus switching platforms
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, and network security concepts
- Proven experience troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues
- Solid knowledge of TCP IP networking fundamentals
- Experience designing and implementing security policies and access controls
- Familiarity with incident response and vulnerability management processes
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Previous experience working in Cisco environments is highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA, CCNP, or security focused certifications
- Experience supporting large scale enterprise network environments
- Familiarity with NX OS
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent professional experience
