Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced High-End Storage Administrator to provide onsite support for enterprise Dell storage and SAN infrastructure environments. This role will focus on the administration, optimization, troubleshooting, and enhancement of Dell PowerStore, Unity, and Brocade SAN environments, while also supporting secondary storage and backup platforms including PowerScale, Data Domain, and PowerVault.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise storage architecture, SAN administration, performance tuning, and data protection within mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Review, assess, and document existing PowerStore, Unity, and SAN/Brocade environments.
- Recommend improvements related to storage capacity, resiliency, and performance optimization.
- Assist with storage tiering, replication, and data protection strategies.
- Develop and maintain storage architecture documentation and diagrams.
Implementation & Configuration
- Install, configure, and optimize Dell PowerStore and Unity storage arrays.
- Configure storage pools, LUNs/volumes, datastores, replication, and snapshots.
- Configure and manage Brocade SAN directors and switches, including zoning, fabric configuration, and firmware upgrades.
- Integrate storage solutions with enterprise hosts, virtualization platforms, and applications.
Operations & Administration
- Perform day-to-day storage and SAN administration activities.
- Handle storage provisioning, expansions, migrations, and LUN/host mappings.
- Monitor storage capacity, health, and performance metrics.
- Execute storage changes following established change management processes.
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
Backup & Data Protection
- Configure and administer Dell Data Domain backup and recovery solutions.
- Validate and periodically test restore and recovery procedures.
- Ensure backup and retention policies align with business continuity and compliance requirements (RPO/RTO).
File & Secondary Storage Support
- Administer Dell PowerScale environments for unstructured/file workloads.
- Manage shares, exports, quotas, permissions, and performance tuning.
- Support Dell PowerVault systems for archival, secondary, and test workloads.
- Plan and execute data migrations with minimal operational disruption.
Performance & Troubleshooting
- Analyze SAN and storage performance to identify bottlenecks and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot end-to-end storage incidents involving arrays, SAN fabrics, and host connectivity.
- Coordinate with Dell Support and internal teams for issue resolution.
- Recommend and implement firmware, code, and best-practice updates.
Governance & Security
- Maintain secure SAN zoning and LUN masking configurations.
- Support role-based access controls and audit requirements.
- Assist with compliance and audit evidence requests related to storage and backup systems.
Knowledge Transfer & Reporting
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to customer technical teams.
- Deliver regular status updates covering activities, risks, issues, and upcoming changes.
- Contribute to operational process improvements and documentation enhancements.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience administering Dell enterprise storage platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of Fibre Channel SAN technologies and Brocade infrastructure.
- Experience supporting enterprise backup and disaster recovery environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in highly regulated or compliance-driven environments preferred.
