Role: Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Full Stack, AWS, AI Engineering)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to support a critical initiative. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, AI-assisted development, and business problem solving.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges, design technical solutions, rapidly prototype and develop applications, and deploy production-ready systems. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient engineer who can own the entire software lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and support.
This position requires strong full-stack development expertise with Angular, C#/.NET, AWS, and Terraform, along with experience utilizing GitHub Copilot and AI Software Engineering techniques to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with business stakeholders, product teams, and end users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications in cloud environments.
- Build responsive front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript.
- Develop scalable APIs, services, and backend systems using C#/.NET.
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Own application deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and operational support.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
- Apply modern AI Software Engineering practices, including AI-assisted coding, code generation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Drive engineering best practices, code reviews, security standards, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong full-stack development experience.
- Advanced proficiency with:
- Angular
- TypeScript
- C#
- .NET / .NET Core
- Hands-on AWS experience, including deployment and management of cloud solutions.
- Strong Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to independently deploy, support, and maintain applications in production environments.
AI Engineering Requirements
- Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted software development workflows.
- Knowledge of modern AI Software Engineering practices.
- Ability to leverage LLM-based tools to improve design, coding, testing, documentation, and debugging activities.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-powered developer productivity tools.
DevOps Requirements
- Experience owning application deployments from development through production.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Terraform
- CI/CD pipelines
- GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Docker and containerized workloads
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar client-facing role.
- Experience supporting customer implementations and production deployments.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, LangChain, or agent-based systems.
- Experience operating in highly collaborative, fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
