Job Summary
The role involves monitoring heartbeat patterns using electrocardiograph (EKG) devices to identify any irregular heart rhythms. You will assist physicians in emergency situations related to heart conditions. Responsibilities include:
- Observing EKG monitors to detect abnormal heart rhythm variations
- Recognizing emergencies and promptly notifying physicians for immediate intervention
- Recording the heart's electrical activity with EKG equipment and ensuring the quality of the recordings
- Managing the ordering and stocking of necessary supplies
- Generating EKG reports that detail a patient s cardiovascular status for physician review and diagnosis
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Certification as a Cardiographic Technician (CCT), Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring (CRAT), or National Telemetry Certification is encouraged but not mandatory.
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
