Description

We are seeking an experienced ALIP QA Lead/Architect with strong expertise in the Accenture Life Insurance Platform (ALIP) and Life & Annuity insurance domain. The ideal candidate will lead QA strategy, automation, and end-to-end testing efforts for enterprise insurance transformation initiatives.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery across policy administration and insurance lifecycle processes.

Key Responsibilities

QA Leadership & Strategy

• Define and implement enterprise QA strategy, governance, and best practices for ALIP programs.
• Lead end-to-end testing activities across multiple releases and environments.
• Design scalable QA frameworks for functional, integration, regression, API, and data validation testing.
• Establish automation standards, reusable test assets, and quality metrics.

ALIP & Insurance Testing

• Perform testing for ALIP policy administration modules and Life & Annuity workflows.
• Validate end-to-end insurance business processes including:
• New Business
• Underwriting
• Policy Issuance
• Billing & Premium Processing
• Claims
• Surrenders & Withdrawals
• Annuities
• Policy Servicing
• Renewals and Endorsements
• Conduct data migration, conversion, and reconciliation testing for legacy modernization initiatives.

Test Management & Execution

• Create and review:
• Test Strategy
• Test Plans
• Test Scenarios
• Test Cases
• RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix)
• Test Data & Defect Reports
• Lead SIT, UAT, Regression, Integration, and E2E testing cycles.
• Manage defect triage meetings and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure QA deliverables meet release timelines and quality standards.

Automation & Technical Responsibilities

• Drive test automation initiatives using Selenium, TOSCA, or similar frameworks.
• Perform API testing using Postman/SOAP UI.
• Validate backend systems and interfaces using SQL and database testing techniques.
• Support CI/CD integration and continuous testing practices.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and Program Managers.
• Lead offshore/onshore QA teams and mentor junior QA resources.
• Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and quality reports to leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of QA/Test Engineering experience
• 4+ years of hands-on ALIP testing/implementation experience
• Strong expertise in Life & Annuity Insurance domain
• Experience with policy administration systems
• Strong understanding of insurance product lifecycle and workflows
• Expertise in:
• Functional Testing
• Automation Testing
• API Testing
• ETL/Data Migration Testing
• Database/SQL Validation
• Experience with:
• Selenium / TOSCA
• Postman / SOAP UI
• JIRA / HP ALM
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as QA Architect or QA Lead for enterprise insurance platforms
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines
• Experience managing distributed/global QA teams
• Insurance certifications or ALIP certifications preferred

Education

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
