Job Title: Senior Data & Middleware Integration Engineer II (IBM MQ & Cloud Infrastructure)

Role Overview
We are seeking an organized, self-motivated, and technical Senior Data & Middleware Integration Engineer II to join our National Integration Services (NIS) team. In this role, you will act as a key technical leader responsible for designing, building, and deploying enterprise middleware solutions that drive critical business and financial operations. You will serve as a versatile technical expert, collaborating with architects, engineers, and business analysts across the full project lifecycle from inception to production deployment.

This is a dynamic, high-impact role for an integration specialist who combines deep IBM MQ and Managed File Transfer (MFT) expertise with modern cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. You will architect high-availability messaging networks, write automated infrastructure code, build secure AWS cloud environments, and influence technical solutions across matrixed teams. Key Responsibilities
Middleware Architecture & Engineering
IBM MQ & MFT Expertise: Provide advanced architecture, design, and engineering support for enterprise IBM MQ and IBM Managed File Transfer (MFT) environments.
End-to-End Delivery: Drive technical solutions from conception through design, build, and deployment; author clear technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and design documents.
High-Availability & Security: Design and implement robust high-availability, load-balancing, and failover configurations alongside enterprise security standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Consult with internal departments, external stakeholders, and service managers to align middleware solutions with complex operational objectives.

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation (DevOps)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, provision, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Packer, and automated system configuration tools.
AWS Cloud Integration: Administer and optimize production AWS environments utilizing services such as S3, EC2, ELB, SFTP, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
Scripting & CI/CD: Develop robust automation scripts using Python (along with JSON, YAML, and Boto3); contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional work experience).
Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5-10 years of recent, relevant experience as an MQ Architect or Enterprise Integration Engineer spanning solution design through implementation.
Technical Mastery:
oDeep, advanced technical knowledge of IBM MQ and IBM MFT architecture and administration.
oPractical, hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Packer) and automated provisioning.
oProven experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, microservices, and DevOps production environments.
oStrong proficiency in Python scripting and automation frameworks.
oFamiliarity with source code management tools (Git, SVN) and high-availability enterprise patterns.
Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical, collaboration, and leadership skills; strong customer-focused orientation; ability to drive technical solutions independently within matrixed or virtual organizations.

Preferred Attributes
Active AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer).
Working knowledge of auxiliary monitoring and integration tools (e.g., Grafana, MQ Salesforce Bridge).
Practical experience working in Agile environments and implementing test automation within CI/CD pipelines.
