We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with strong expertise in telecom domains (4G/5G and OSS/BSS) to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python and Robot Framework and telecom service orchestration. Proven ability to identify automation opportunities, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality test results.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Certifications in telecom technologies or test automation tools are a plus.
At least 3 years of proven experience on Python and Robot framework and similar platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze test scenarios and identify test cases suitable for automation within 4G/5G and OSS/BSS environments.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework.
Execute automated test cases in lab environments and ensure proper setup and configuration.
Generate detailed reports and logs for test results leveraging Robot Framework s reporting features.
Analyze failures in automated tests, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot Python/Robot scripts.
Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman , REST, message buses to validate OSS/BSS interactions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards.
Continuously improve automation frameworks and processes for scalability and efficiency.
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience in test automation within telecom domains (4G/5G and OSS/BSS).
Strong proficiency in Python and Robot Framework.
Solid understanding of telecom protocols and OSS/BSS architecture.
Experience working with telecom workflows and understanding of 4G and 5G core elements ( MME, SGW, PGW) (AMF/SMF/AUSF/UPF/NRF/PCF) interactions
Experience in test case design, execution, and reporting.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes.
Ability to debug and troubleshoot automation scripts effectively.
