Summary

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers.
Define and implement overall QA strategy, test plans, and testing methodologies.
Review business and technical requirements and identify test scenarios and risks.
Lead functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing activities.
Develop and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data.
Drive test automation initiatives and identify opportunities to improve automation coverage.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project managers to resolve quality issues.
Manage defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Track QA metrics, test progress, defect trends, and overall product quality.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Identify risks, dependencies, and quality gaps and communicate them to stakeholders.
Ensure testing processes follow organizational quality standards and best practices.
Support release planning, deployment validation, and production verification.

Required Skills

7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
2+ years of experience leading or managing QA teams.
Strong experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks.
Strong understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
Experience with SQL and database validation.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA methodologies.
Experience with defect management and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar DevOps tools.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
