Lead Platform DevOps Engineer (Terraform & AWS)
(Platform Engineering / DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure)
We are seeking a Lead Platform DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise-scale AWS platforms using Terraform-first Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role is highly hands-on and focuses on owning platform foundations, enabling automation and CI/CD, and partnering closely with network, security, and other infrastructure teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
The ideal candidate brings deep AWS expertise, strong Terraform skills, and the ability to lead platform initiatives end-to-end while mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain Terraform modules to provision and manage AWS resources including:
EC2, EFS
ECS
AWS Glue, Amazon EMR
Amazon MWAA (Airflow)
Own platform provisioning workflows, standards, and best practices across multiple environments.
Build and operate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform code using GitHub Actions.
Develop automation and tooling using APIs and programming/scripting languages (Python preferred).
Partner closely with Network, Security, Cloud, and Application teams to:
Design secure network architectures (VPCs, subnets, routing, connectivity)
Implement IAM, encryption, and security controls
Align platform designs with enterprise security and compliance requirements
Support operational readiness, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform improvements.
Lead design discussions, documentation, and technical reviews.
Mentor and guide engineers within the platform team.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure.
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for AWS provisioning.
Solid experience with AWS services including:
EC2, EFS, ECS
AWS Glue, Amazon EMR
Amazon MWAA (Airflow)
Experience designing and running CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
