Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Milpitas, CA for a 6-month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation testing for web and mobile applications, along with hands-on experience in Selenium, Java, API testing, and Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Develop automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG/JUnit, and Cucumber BDD framework.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, System, and UAT testing.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and automation scripts based on business requirements.
- Perform API testing using Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- Execute cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
- Track defects, manage test execution, and generate QA reports using Jira and related tools.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and QA review meetings.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery through continuous testing and process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in QA Automation Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Experience with Cucumber BDD, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven.
- Experience in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
- Experience testing web and native mobile applications (iOS/Android).
- Knowledge of Appium or WebDriverIO is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Strong SQL skills and database testing experience.
- Familiarity with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or LambdaTest is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Banking, Insurance, Retail, or Financial domains.
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.
- Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
