Location: Milpitas, CA 95035 – (5 Days Onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Manual Tester to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying defects through manual testing, validating functionality, and ensuring a seamless user experience across web and mobile applications. This role requires close collaboration with developers and cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual test cases including functional, system, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Validate application behavior across web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
  • Execute automated test suites when required and analyze test failures.
  • Create, maintain, and update test cases, test plans, and test documentation.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA team members to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure stability after changes or fixes.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred but not required).

Technical Skills

  • Experience testing web applications using browsers such as Chrome and Firefox.
  • Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Basic understanding of automated testing and ability to execute automated test scripts.

Job Scope

  • Perform both black-box testing (user-focused validation) and white-box testing (leveraging system knowledge when applicable).
  • Ensure applications meet functional requirements, usability standards, and quality benchmarks before release.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing strategies.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Exposure to automation tools or scripting.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
