Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II for a team responsible for building large-scale software solutions supporting complex operational environments. This team develops automation technologies and backend systems that help improve efficiency and decision-making. This is an opportunity to work on impactful software, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to systems that process massive volumes of data and events at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services.
- Write new production-quality code while enhancing and improving existing systems.
- Build metrics, dashboards, and monitoring capabilities to improve system visibility and performance.
- Design solutions using software engineering and system design principles.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Drive projects from concept and design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within production environments.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of professional software development experience is required.
- Hands-on experience developing applications using Java.
- Experience building and supporting production applications or backend services.
- Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and system design principles.
- Experience delivering software products and features to end users.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing software solutions that leverage AI technologies.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or providing technical leadership.
- Experience working within large-scale, distributed technology environments.
- Experience supporting systems that process high-volume transactional or event-driven workloads.
