On of our clients is looking for the position of Netwok Administrator based on following skills:
Candidate location: Candidate must be a CURRENT resident within the Eastern Time Zone AND be willing to relocate to SC prior to their start at their own expense.
Travel: There will be a potential for travel within the State of South Carolina to DPH Field Offices. A Valid Driver''''''''''''''''s License is required for this position. A State Vehicle will be provided for this travel. The State will cover round-trip travel expenses associated with mileage to and from sites with 400 Otarre Pkwy, Cayce, SC 29033 being the departure location if a state vehicle is not available.
The network administrators for these openings under the general guidance of the assigned Network Operations Center Manager will coordinate daily/weekly assignments for the deployment, operational support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of the Agency’s critical enterprise architecture. The network administrators will work with Network, Security, and other IT professional groups and non-IT staff to assist with problem resolution, mitigation of issues, and to provide technical solutions. The network administrator will ensure assignments are completed accurately and on-time, and regularly provide progress, tasks, and deliverables status updates to the assigned project manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
1. 3+ Years of Experience with Enterprise Network Infrastructure and LAN Administration
2. 3+ Years of Experience with Installing, Configuring, and Troubleshooting switches and
wireless access points
3. 3+ Years of Experience with SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services
4. 3+ Years of Experience with Troubleshooting network connectivity on Windows and mobile devices
5. 3+ Years of Experience with creating, reading, and maintaining network documentation and diagrams
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
1. Any network or related certification by an industry leader such as CompTIA, Cisco, or Microsoft. (Please indicate whether certificate is active or inactive on resume)
2. Cisco Networking Academy or similar bootcamp/training
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
1. Ability to perform on‑site physical network work, including lifting 40 lbs and working
on ladders
2. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide to remote sites with a State OR Personal Vehicle
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non‑technical staff
4. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Associates Degree in a relevant field of work or high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
