Database Infrastructure Developer/Engineer

 

Python engineer to work on a new requirement for database infrastructure maintenance and development. The role will require a self-sufficient individual, capable of working in a complex environment building new functionality and maintaining existing infrastructure required to support the environment.

 

Responsibilities:
The role will be for a database infrastructure developer / engineer. The candidate will be working on various database related infrastructure / automation projects that will require the development or maintenance of modules/scripts using python and ksh.

The candidate will be responsible for development unit level testing and integration testing. MS is looking for a result driven individual who is able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

The candidate should have a strong track record of delivering projects on time.

 

Skills Required:
- 2-5 years of experience
- Understanding scripting is a core requirement.
- Strong Python scripting
- Experience of revision control systems.
- Strong Unix shell scripting (in particular Korn Shell)
- Good database knowledge
- Knowledge of Perl is a plus
