This role is part of a global team responsible for the ongoing remediation of security vulnerabilities on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows servers. The position involves the deployment of software patches to servers supporting all lines of business. The successful candidate will partner with engineering and technology teams to improve the velocity and success rates of patching, which includes planning, scheduling, monitoring patch deployment, and troubleshooting failures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the ongoing remediation of security vulnerabilities on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows servers.
- Oversee the deployment of software patches to servers across all lines of business.
- Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to enhance the speed and success of patching operations.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor patch deployment jobs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment failures.
- Communicate status updates effectively with internal partner technology teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in RHEL and/or Windows Server systems administration.
- Knowledge of patch management processes.
- Experience with BMC TrueSight Orchestration.
- Experience with Tanium.
- Experience with ServiceNow and ITSM.
- Experience in enterprise-scale environments.
- Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a global team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in programming and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Python.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience working on technology and infrastructure teams.
- Skills in Analytical Thinking, Automation, and Production Support.
