Duties

Help

  • You will draft and publish Communications Security and Key Management Infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures for Communications Security material.
  • You will develop, modify, and maintain cybersecurity plans, strategies, and policies to support organizational requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • You will review, conduct, and participate in audits of long-range cyber programs and projects involving cybersecurity systems and issues.
  • You will manage and exercise overall responsibility for the cybersecurity program.
  • You will serve as the information systems security subject matter expert responsible for directing implementation of security controls.
  • You will advise senior leadership or the Authorizing Official on risk levels and changes affecting the organization's cybersecurity posture, make recommendations in critical areas, and initiate or direct actions as necessary.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, implementing, and overseeing Communications Security (COMSEC) and cryptographic key management programs, including organizational security policies, standards, and procedures. Conducting compliance reviews, assessing and mitigating security risks, providing COMSEC training and guidance, and maintaining accountability for cryptographic keying material to ensure the secure management of cryptographic assets.

In addition, you must demonstrate the following competencies:
