Summary

You will build ServiceNow applications for VA and own how they are delivered: source control, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines that move changes safely from development to production. You will work in an Agile team with VA product owners, platform administrators and security staff.

Key responsibilities

· Develop scoped applications, Flow Designer flows and IntegrationHub integrations using JavaScript and the Glide API.

· Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow using Git, the ServiceNow CI/CD API and tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

· Configure ServiceNow DevOps Change Velocity to link pipeline activity to automated change requests and approvals.

· Build Automated Test Framework (ATF) suites and run them as quality gates before each release.

· Manage update sets, application repository versions and promotion across dev, test and production instances.

· Develop REST/SOAP integrations with VA systems and third-party tools.

· Support platform upgrades and patches, including regression testing and skipped-record review.

· Apply VA security requirements (ACLs, role-based access, VA Handbook 6500) and follow VA change and release management.

· Write technical designs and runbooks; demo work to VA product owners and review peers' code.

Required qualifications

· 7+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development.

· 4+ years building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Git-based source control.

· Strong JavaScript and Glide API skills; experience with scoped apps, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub and REST/SOAP.

· Hands-on ATF experience and familiarity with ServiceNow DevOps Change Velocity.

· Experience in Agile/Scrum teams and ITIL-based change management.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field; four additional years of experience may substitute.

· Knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-53 or ATO support.
