RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Digital/AV Specialist in Portland, OR.
Summary:
We are looking for a smart, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join and support the rollout, management, and optimization of consumer-facing technology in our retail stores - with a strong focus on digital signage. You will work directly with the Senior Technology Consultant to help manage projects, coordinate with vendors, write documentation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations across 150 retail locations. You will be part of projects that shape the future of retail experiences.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with planning, scheduling, and tracking digital signage deployments across North American retail stores
* Maintain organized documentation of store configurations, technology assets, and troubleshooting records
* Help coordinate communication between internal teams, external vendors, and store operations, including scheduling technician site visits and managing logistics
* Help troubleshoot A/V and Windows hardware/software issues
* Stage and configure signage media players for use in retail deployments
* Use and maintain automation scripts (Bash, PowerShell) for device provisioning, software updates, and system monitoring
* Maintain awareness of emerging digital signage and retail technology trends
* Manage and maintain Digital Retail Experience lab equipment and inventory
* Support other technology-related projects as needed per week
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Video Marketing or equivalent practical experience
* 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting retail technology or digital signage environments
* Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
* Proficiency with Windows including staging, configuration, and troubleshooting
* Experience with Linux (Raspberry Pi, Ubuntu) is a plus
* Familiarity with remote support tools (Bomgar, MeshCentral) and basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, VLANs)
* Experience with digital signage content management systems
* Solid understanding of audiovisual hardware (LED panels, video scalers, AV over IP, LED controllers) and basic electrical knowledge
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating technical documentation
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Work in person at North America Headquarters 3-5 days
* Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to store locations for on-site support and rollouts is a plus
* Scripting skills in Bash and PowerShell for automation and system management is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
