Job Description
We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Migration Specialist to support pre-migration discovery, planning, and execution for newly acquired organizations. This role will lead full lifecycle Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, including Exchange mail, files, and collaboration platforms, while coordinating stakeholders and ensuring smooth cutovers. The position focuses heavily on backend systems and standardized migration processes, with minimal endpoint involvement.
Key Responsibilities
Perform technical discovery for newly acquired environments
Assess Microsoft 365, identity, mail, file, and collaboration configurations
Define migration scope, risks, and timelines using established playbooks
Lead Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive
Coordinate migration execution, checkpoints, and cutover activities
Communicate progress with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders
Provide post-migration support for lower-complexity issues and hand off endpoint work to other teams
Requirements
3+ years of experience working with Microsoft 365 environments
Hands-on experience leading Exchange Online migrations
Experience with SharePoint and OneDrive migrations
Proven tenant-to-tenant migration and consolidation experience
Strong understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID object management
Solid migration planning, documentation, and process discipline
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting M&A or acquisition-driven IT integrations
Familiarity with migration tools such as BitTitan or Quest
Experience working from standardized playbooks or repeatable migration frameworks
Soft Skills
Strong communicator capable of leading stakeholders through migration phases
Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent migrations
Calm and methodical during cutovers and troubleshooting windows
