About the role:As an Application Development intern, you will support the development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise applications used across Westinghouse. You will work with the Cranberry-based team and collaborating with other team members in Poland and Spain. You will gain exposure to Agile delivery and SDLC best practices, including object-oriented development and HTTP-based APIs, while building foundational skills across the application and data layers.
You will report to the Application Development Supervisor and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.
Key Responsibilities:- Help develop and testing enterprise application enhancements
- You will translate requirements into well-defined technical tasks and working software
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow SDLC practices
- Build and update REST/HTTP APIs and application logic
- Help diagnose defects and document fixes
Qualifications:- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Write HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with Object-oriented Programming
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
