Title: AI Engineer
Type: Contract, 6 months + possibility of extension
Location: Toronto preferred (remote flexibility for a strong candidate)
Mode: Onsite
Pay Range: $64 - $80/hr (based on experience)
Role Brief:
We are seeking an AI Engineer to build and deploy production-grade applications powered by Generative AI. The role is focused on GenAI application engineering rather than developing AI models from scratch. The engineer will work with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, APIs, and cloud technologies to deliver AI solutions end-to-end, from architecture and development through deployment and optimization.
Top Must-Haves
- 6+ years of Software/Application Engineering experience, including 1 2+ years building GenAI applications in production.
- Strong Python development experience with hands-on expertise building APIs, microservices, and production applications.
- Proven experience developing GenAI solutions, particularly RAG, LLM pipelines, and Agentic AI.
- Strong AWS/cloud experience, Bedrock, Lambda, EKS, or Fargate, and experience deploying cloud-native applications.
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks and models, such as Lang Chain, LlamaIndex, GPT, Claude, Gemini, or LLaMA.
- Experience with AI application architecture and deployment, including Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, monitoring, and production optimization.
