A manufacturer in Aliquippa is hiring a Quality Control Technician to inspect raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products, ensuring they meet company specifications and customer requirements. This role works closely with the production team to catch and resolve quality issues before they become recurring problems.
Schedule
Full time, manufacturing environment.
Compensation
$60,000 to $70,000 per year, based on experience.
What You\'ll Do
This role performs routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products, verifying that they meet established specifications and customer requirements. The technician conducts visual inspections and dimensional measurements using gauges and other inspection equipment, records inspection results accurately, and maintains required quality documentation.
When non-conforming materials or products are identified, the technician documents and communicates the issue, working directly with production employees and supervisors to address the concern and prevent it from recurring. The role also supports root cause investigations for quality problems, verifies product labeling, packaging, and traceability requirements, and follows established quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements. The technician contributes to continuous improvement efforts related to product quality, manufacturing processes, and waste reduction, and keeps the inspection area organized and equipment well maintained.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, specifications, and basic technical documentation
- Comfortable using basic measuring and inspection equipment
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to accurately enter and maintain quality records
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize inconsistencies or defects
- Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, supervisors, and management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or quality inspection
- Previous quality control or inspection experience
- Spanish fluency, to support communication across the manufacturing team
