Summary

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for an Engineering Intern in the Huntington, IN facility starting in May through August of 2026. This position is On-site so the ideal candidate will be located in the general area. This will be a full-time position. No visa sponsorship or relocation will be provided for this role.

What do you get to do in this "Engineering Intern" position?

  • Research, design, and implement manufacturing equipment (fixtures, tools, machines)
  • Work across functions (engineering, quality, maintenance, and hourly employees) to effectively solve issues, implement solutions, and support Schneider Performance System.
  • Own and update standardize work instructions.
  • Serves manufacturing operations as key support person leading resolutions to problems, implementing improvement, and leading projects to completion.
  • Lead and execute projects linked to safety, quality, and productivity using tools such as, but not limited to: PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, Kaizen, and Line Architecture Design Methodology.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance on existing machine control modifications or installations
  • Investigate, evaluate, document, and optimize existing manufacturing processes
  • Analyze shipping and inventory data
  • Be responsible for critical thinking and decision making related to your tasks

This job might be for you if:

  • Are actively pursuing a degree in Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related bachelor's degree
  • Have some experience with Excel, Access, and Tableau
  • Junior or Senior in college
  • Have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess excellent communication and team collaboration skills (English language)
  • Have exceptional leadership, project management and interpersonal skills
  • Are self-motivated and self-directed with a sense of urgency.
