Responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of production activities to ensure the best possible resource use and prompt product delivery.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including shop floor, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless production operations
- Verifies that inventory items are in line with the build plan and the production plan.
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Encourage positive interaction and communication with Sales to boost forecast accuracy.
- Work with Buyers to acquire the working knowledge to create and maintain parts shortage lists for all current orders reviewed in the weekly production meetings.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure that internal and external productions are completed on time and at the required quality.
- Analyze/Action MRP supply and demand to resolve gaps with procurement
- Organize and schedule production orders from creation to closure
- Coordinate production through-put

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in production planning.
Knowledge of MRP, near-term production planning, and long-term demand planning concepts
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and at meetings.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations and ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in manufacturing engineering (Bill of materials, routings).
- Experience in production assembly environment
APICS (CPIM, CSCP is a plus) - Infor ERP Visual
- Microsoft D365
