Pay Rate: $90-110/hr (Independent Contract)

Contract Length: 6 months - Potentially Renewable

Travel: Less than 25%

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Vlocity Consultant/Developer to join our team in designing and delivering sophisticated solutions using Salesforce Vlocity (Salesforce Industries). In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging Salesforce Vlocity components to develop scalable, efficient solutions that meet client requirements. You will also act as a subject matter expert, supporting clients in transforming their business processes through innovative cloud-based technologies.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
    1. Solution Design and Development:
      • Architect, design, and develop Salesforce Vlocity solutions to address complex business needs.
      • Implement core Salesforce Vlocity features such as Omniscripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards, and Vlocity Data Model configurations.
      • Create reusable Vlocity components for streamlined customization and efficient solution delivery.
    2. Technical Implementation:
      • Configure Salesforce and Vlocity functionalities, workflows, and custom objects to ensure optimal performance based on client requirements.
      • Integrate Salesforce with third-party systems using APIs, middleware, and REST/SOAP services.
      • Customize Vlocity solutions to align with industry-specific operational challenges.
    3. Client Engagement and Advisory:
      • Collaborate with clients to understand their business processes, goals, and challenges, ensuring Vlocity solutions are tailored to their needs.
      • Provide technical guidance and expertise during the implementation phase to ensure client success.
      • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations for end-users and stakeholders.
    4. Quality Assurance and Documentation:
      • Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure delivered solutions function efficiently and meet quality standards.
      • Maintain detailed documentation reflecting solution architectures, workflows, integration plans, and user guides.
    5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
      • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and developers to execute projects on time and within scope.
      • Collaborate with other technical teams to provide integrated solutions across platforms.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, with 3+ years leveraging Vlocity (Salesforce Industries).
  • Strong expertise in Vlocity tools such as Omniscripts, DataRaptors, FlexCards, and Integration Procedures.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, and related Salesforce technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce customization, configuration, security models, and data architecture.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP APIs for integration.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Vlocity Developer or Consultant Certification (e.g., Industries Certifications for CPQ, OmniStudio).
  • Experience working across industries such as telecommunications, energy, insurance, healthcare, or public sector.
  • Knowledge of ETL and middleware tools.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Proficiency in creating industry-specific Vlocity data models
