We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and cloud-native microservices. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on designing, developing, and supporting highly scalable distributed systems while mentoring engineering teams and driving architectural best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop cloud-native backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
Lead architecture and implementation of microservices and distributed systems.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
Implement resilient, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance and reliability.
Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, product owners, and stakeholders.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
Strong experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture.
Advanced Java (or Kotlin) development experience.
Expertise with Spring Boot and REST API development.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
Experience with Kafka or other event-driven messaging platforms.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Experience with observability tools including logging, monitoring, and tracing.
Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of overall software engineering experience.
Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
