Senior works on multiple IT projects as a member of a project team and is responsible for the overall direction, guidance and definition of an architecture program that effectively supports Amtrak s Business Strategy. They assist in facilitating the development of the future-state architecture, ensuring its effective adoption. Further, Solution Architects interface across all business areas, acting as visionaries to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects. They also conceive strategies, solutions, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions and are also involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design and implementation.
Senior ServiceNow GRC Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide Cyber Risk Register in ServiceNow for a major transportation client in Washington, D.C. Serving as a key strategic advisor across business and IT units, you will translate complex cyber risk requirements into scalable, automated ServiceNow solutions including workflows, reporting, dashboards, and remediation tracking. In this high-visibility role, you will interface with cross-functional leadership, drive consensus, and align GRC architecture with NIST frameworks to enhance enterprise risk visibility, strengthen governance, and ensure audit readiness throughout the project lifecycle.
The Solution Architect will design and implement the enterprise Cyber Risk Register capability in ServiceNow, including workflows, automation, reporting, dashboards, and remediation tracking to support the full cyber risk lifecycle. The role will translate business and risk management requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions, enable consistent risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and escalation processes, and provide leadership with actionable visibility into cyber risks and remediation progress. Responsibilities also include integrating with related ServiceNow and enterprise platforms, ensuring auditability and data integrity, and delivering a centralized capability that strengthens risk governance, improves audit readiness, and enhances enterprise-wide cyber risk visibility.
He/she will be responsible for meeting and presenting to various committees to gain advice and concurrence from all areas of IT to ensure sustainable services are created.
Enterprise Cyber Risk Register capability in ServiceNow, including workflows, automation, reporting, dashboards, and remediation tracking
- Bachelor s degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
- Requires eight to fifteen years of experience in multiple IT areas, and two to five years of relevant work in or with a GRC function
- Excellent Verbal and Written skills
- Well-grounded in state-of-the-art principles of cybersecurity controls, risk architecture, enterprise information management and software design and development
- Solution Architect for two or more large-scale, heterogeneous IT programs.
- Demonstrated success at developing solutions that solve business problems
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions
- Travel Industry experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of NIST CSF and NIST 800-53
