Summary

Title: Business Analyst Clinical (Practice Management)

Location: New Jersey

Duration: 6+ Months

Education: Bachelor s degree in Nursing, Medical Assistant (with strong experience), Allied Health, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master s preferred)

Role Summary:
Seeking a Clinical Business Analyst with strong healthcare operations experience to support and optimize clinical workflows across Practice Management (PM) and EHR systems. The role partners closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to improve efficiency, compliance, and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and optimize clinical workflows, patient management, documentation, scheduling, and care delivery
Act as a liaison between clinical, admin, and IT teams
Gather clinical requirements and translate them into functional PM/EHR specifications
Support implementation, configuration, and optimization of PM/EHR systems (Meditech, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or similar)
Participate in upgrades, testing, integrations, UAT, training, go-live, and post-go-live support
Develop user training materials and provide Tier-2 clinical system support
Conduct workflow audits, gap analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission, HEDIS, and other regulatory standards

Required Skills:

5 8 years of experience in clinical operations, PM/EHR systems, or clinical informatics
Strong understanding of ambulatory or hospital workflows
Hands-on experience with major PM/EHR platforms
Strong workflow mapping, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
