New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a 1st Shift Manufacturing Technician for a 9-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion with our client in Westborough, MA. Compensation: $25.00/hr
1st Shift: M-F 6:15am-2:45pm
Job Requirements: - Perform troubleshooting activities for manufacturing products, using data and observations to assist in debug and root cause analysis.
- Conduct hardware inspections, identifying discrepancies and documenting findings to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Assemble first article builds, test fixtures, racks, and associated wiring, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Provide feedback to mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering teams on tooling, consumables, debugging processes, and test setups.
- Maintain and update team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documenting process improvements and changes.
- Maintain security and proper usage of company assets, equipment, and tools used in daily operations.
Basic Qualifications: - 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or a related environment.
- Ability to follow written work instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and production equipment.
- Ability to inspect products and identify defects or discrepancies.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use scanners.
- Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, and cross functionally.
- Ability to stand 7+ hours/shift.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and work safely in a structured. manufacturing environment.
- Read and follow English language instructions.
