Description
We are looking for a hands-on Field Technician to support clients across Florence, South Carolina with the setup, repair, and upkeep of business technology equipment. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical issues on-site, building strong customer relationships, and keeping office systems running reliably. The role focuses on servicing printers, copiers, connected devices, and related hardware while delivering responsive and attentive support.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and service printers, copiers, multifunction devices, and related office technology at customer locations.
Diagnose hardware, connectivity, and performance issues using a structured troubleshooting approach and complete repairs efficiently.
Support network-connected equipment by verifying configurations, resolving communication problems, and ensuring reliable device integration.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the life of customer equipment.
Respond to service requests in a timely manner, clearly explain technical findings, and provide a high level of customer care during each visit.
Document work completed, parts used, and service outcomes accurately to maintain clear service records.
Coordinate with internal technical teams when advanced issues require additional expertise or escalation.
Manage daily field assignments independently, prioritize urgent needs, and maintain productivity across multiple client sites.
Requirements
Experience troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware, printers, copiers, or multifunction office equipment.
Working knowledge of cable installation, device connectivity, and basic network troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Apple devices and general end-user hardware support is helpful.
Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to represent the company professionally on-site.
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and adapt to changing service priorities in the field.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or an associate degree in a related area is preferred.
CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are an advantage.
Previous experience in a field technician, PC technician, or comparable service role is preferred.
