We can ONLY consider your application if you have:
1: 2 year Technical Degree in Drafting or Engineering
2: 6 years directly related experience
3: Experienced with geometric dimensioning and tolerating (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5-2009.
4: Skilled in NX and Teamcenter
5: Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows
6: Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
7: Experience with Digital Product Definition Practices per ASME Y14.41
9: Must have knowledge of standard manufacturing processes including CNC Mill and Lathe operations
10: Must be experienced with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
11: Candidate must be comfortable working extended periods of time at a work station.

We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer 4 to join our Mechanical Engineering Design team within the Launch Vehicle Division
The Designer will work within the Design/Drafting group and will be responsible for checking drawing/design packages for proper content and to ensure compliance with applicable industry and military standards.

DESIRED (not required) SKILLS:
:: GDTP Professional Certification
:: Experienced with weld design per AWS D17.1 and D1.1. AWS CWI certification.
:: Experience working with DoD programs
:: A working knowledge of ASME Y14. 100 and MIL-Standard 100

Duties and Responsibilities
== Checking designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and economy of fabrication.
== Review of tolerance analysis, hardware selection and fitment on assembly prints.
== Expert in GD&T and will be called upon to resolve interpretation issues on drawings.
== Verifying 3D models submitted to manufacturing utilizing Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
== Liaison with various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, and Quality.
== Some vendor liaison will be required as well.
== Modeling fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter, and create/revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME modeling and drawing standards.
== Review mechanical drawings with appropriate personnel verifying completed work, checking dimensions, materials and quantities to be used.
== Mechanical modeling using NX managed with Teamcenter
== Create/Revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards.
== As requested, may supervise and direct the activities of staff.
== Perform related duties as assigned or required.
