Role Summary

The Oracle EBS Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) Lead Functional Consultant plays a pivotal role in designing, configuring, and delivering robust Oracle EBS R12.2 supply chain and manufacturing solutions. Serving as the functional subject matter expert, this role is responsible for analyzing client business processes, conducting fit-gap analyses, and implementing standard functionalities and custom extensions that drive business value.

The Lead Consultant will manage end-to-end implementation workstreams, collaborating closely with clients, project managers, solution architects, and offshore development teams to ensure technical feasibility, adherence to best practices, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

<>Functional Leadership & Implementation
  • Lead End-to-End Implementations: Drive complete implementation lifecycles for Oracle EBS R12.2 projects, spanning requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, functional design, configuration, system build, integration testing, go-live, and post-production support.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze current-state manufacturing business processes and recommend best-practice configurations and modern solutions tailored to client needs.
  • System Design & Documentation: Create comprehensive, business-aligned functional design documents (MD50/BR100) and review technical design specifications (MD70) for system enhancements, data conversions, and integrations.
  • Production Support: Provide high-level functional troubleshooting and end-user support for complex Oracle EBS R12 environments, ensuring system stability and rapid issue resolution.
<>Deep Domain & Module Expertise
  • Apply expert-level functional knowledge across core manufacturing and planning business processes, including:
    • Demand & Supply Planning
    • Master Scheduling & Capacity Planning
    • Available to Promise (ATP) & Forecast Consumption
    • Safety Stock & Pegging
    • Planning Collections
  • Architect and configure cross-functional business flows across key EBS modules: ASCP, Inventory, BOM, WIP, Purchasing, Order Management, MRP, and Cost Management.
<>Delivery Coordination & Mentorship
  • Offshore Collaboration: Work seamlessly with offshore development teams by delivering clear functional specifications, reviewing deliverables, and coordinating daily technical execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Financials consultants to ensure cohesive cross-module integration and adherence to project schedules.
  • Mentorship & Communication: Act as a trusted advisor to client leadership and internal teams, translating complex functional and technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Qualifications & Experience

<>Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
<>Required Experience & Skills
  • 8–15 years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle ERP methodologies, focusing on supply chain and manufacturing implementations.
  • Extensive experience leveraging Oracle EBS R12 / R12.2 as the primary ERP system within Project and Discrete Manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record of leading complete implementation lifecycle projects, including upgrades, conversions, and complex enhancement workstreams.
  • Demonstrated experience creating functional designs and guiding offshore development teams to successful project delivery.
  • Practical SQL troubleshooting skills to query databases, analyze planning data collections, and assist technical teams in root-cause analysis.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with the executive presence required to interact with high-level customer stakeholders.
  • Strong autonomous work ethic with mature judgment and the ability to manage multiple complex task assignments simultaneously.
<>Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud SCM applications is a distinct advantage.
