Senior Civil Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • Bachelor?s degree in civil engineering, land surveying, planning, or related field
  • Registered (licensed) professional in field of expertise strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in A/E industry and/or commercial, residential, or governmental land development, including 3?5 years of project management
  • Experience with water/wastewater systems, water treatment, water distribution, and pump station projects
  • Proficiency with civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD and/or Civil3D


Senior Civil Project Manager Preferred Background & Skills


  • Strong track record in marketing and business development within the A/E industry
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional client management and operational insight
  • Ability to interpret and apply municipal codes and regulations


Senior Civil Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians throughout project lifecycles
  • Plan, schedule, and execute complex land development projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Prepare, review, and direct the creation of designs, specifications, reports, and cost estimates
  • Maintain productive relationships with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and internal partners
  • Lead billing, budget management, and financial monitoring for assigned projects
  • Oversee quality assurance, resolve technical challenges, and drive continuous process improvement
  • Contribute to business development, marketing presentations, and client retention initiatives
